Balaich nam Whalers, memories of the men from the Isle of Lewis, Outer Hebrides of Scotland, who worked on the Whale Catcher Ships and the Shore Whaling Stations in South Georgia, South Atlantic in the 1950s.

The men who contributed information and pictures for this publication, worked in a dangerous industry, during a 6 month season in South Georgia and this collective account describes their living conditions, work and leisure.
